The Bittinger and Bedinger families: descendants of Adam Budinger, born in 1698 and died about 1768. He was a native of the village of "Dorschel in the principality of Lichtzstine", near Strasburg. He married Anna Margarethe. The sailed from Rotterdam, and emigrated to Penna, landing in Phila August 30, 1737 on the ship Samuel. After Anna died Adam married Sabina.
