This book gives the genealogy of the ancestors and descendants of Joseph Chase. He was a member of the Friends Meeting House of Sandwich, Mass in 1681, and Portsmouth, Rhode Isalnd in 1688. He died in 1724 at Swansea, Mass. The first Chase family members to emigrate to America in 1630 were William and his wife Mary with their eight year old son, William. who was born in 1622. Grandparents and great-grandparents of the subject of the book. There are notes on the English history of some Chase members. The original typescript may be faded and difficult to read in some areas.
