This book gives an in depth look at the life of William Chesebrough, the first settler of English lineage in the town of Stonington, Connecticut. He was born in England in 1594 and came to America with his wife Ann (Stevenson) in 1630 in the Massachusetts Bay Colony. It appears from records that only three of their eight children embarked on the journey to America. More children were born to them in America.
