This is a genealogical account of the Cogswell family in England and in America beginning in 1635. John Cogswell was the son of Edward and Alice, born in 1592 in Westbury Leigh, England. He married Elizabeth Thompson. They emigrated to America in 1635 and settled in Ipswich, Mass.
