This booklet gives the history of the DeHaven Family, 4th Edition Revised and reillustrated. The 1st edition was published in 1894. Jacob DeHaven was a well-to-do Frenchman who immigrated to America with his three brothers between 1750-1760. He was settled in Pennsylvania outside of Philadelphia on one of the William Penn grants of land. in Montgomery County. He contributed supplies to the Revolutionary Army while they were at Valley Forge, when they were at their greatest need, the soldiers were hungry and ill equipped. He loaned a vast amount of money to the war effort, and for many years sought to be repaid by the U.S. Government. This is covered in detail.
