This book gives the Dexter family genealogy in America a record of the families descending from the very interesting Thomas Dexter of England and New England. There are notes and records on allied families. Mr. Dexter, in the prime of his life in 1630, settled on a farm of eight hundred acres in Lynn, Massachusetts. The house was on the west side of the Saugus River. In 1633 he built a bridge across the river and later a mill near by. He had many servants, and was called "Farmer Dexter".  died in the year 1700,
