By Elizabeth Dinwiddie Holladay
These are the Dinwiddie Family records, with their Scotch beginnings and immigratant records giving special attention to the line of William Walthall Dinwiddie, 1804-1882. Early in the 18th century began a great migration of Scoth-Irish to America. Dunwoodys (there were various spellings of the name) were early contemporaries in three Pennsylvania settlements. There were many in Chester County, Lancaster, York, Adams, Franklin, and Cumberland counties.
