These are the descendants of Jabez Dorman of Arundel (1678-1765): ten generations of Dormans in Maine. They were among the early settlers and through the years played a significant role in the history of the state. Jabez Dorman is the grandson to Thomas Dorman, who was born in about 1600 in England and came to America, as early records show him in Boston 1634/5.
