In this genealogy and ancestry of the Ferris family, we discover that the ancient family was from England and descended from the house of Feriers, Ferrerr, Ferreis, Ferris. Zechariah Ferris or Ferrers, son of Samuel of Reading, England, came to America, to Charlestown, Massachusetts and in 1673 married Sarah Blood. They had six children. He served in King Philips War in 1676 and in the expedition against Port Royal in 1711, where he was killed. Typescript.
