FORD: Genealogy of the Ford family 1890
By James Ford
This fascinating book gives a concise account of the history and genealogy of the Ford family from the earliest known period. Before the Revolutionary War broke out Henry Ford settled on the north bank of the Potomac River, a few miles from Hagerstown, Maryland, known as 'Ford's Bend'. The Indians were still in that country and troublesome. We read how this personally affected their family. He and his wife had seven children born from 1771 to 1782.
