This publication is a memoir and a genealogy of the descendants of Col. Joshua Fry and his wife Mary (Micou) of Virginia with their allied lines. He was born in England, emigrated to Virginia. Hew was one of social position, wealth, capacity, character and public service. He was a surveyor, also playing important roles in organizing. He was appointed to command the Virginia forces. He died suddenly and was buried near Fort Cumberland May 31, 1754. Washington and the army attended the funeral.
