This publication is a memoir and a genealogy of the descendants of Col. Joshua Fry and his wife Mary (Micou) of Virginia with their allied lines. He was born in England, emigrated to Virginia. Hew was one of social position, wealth, capacity, character and public service. He was a surveyor, also playing important roles in organizing. He was appointed to command the Virginia forces. He died suddenly and was buried near Fort Cumberland May 31, 1754. Washington and the army attended the funeral.  The history of these persons and places in Virginia discuss the counties, rivers, and historical map.

Fascinating Read!!!

Colonel Fry and his wife Mary Micou are my paternal ancestors. It is such an amazing opportunity to see part of their lives in print! My youngest daughter is a historian who has studied our family for years and this was one of the best gifts I could ever have given her.
