This booklet gives the ancestral line of Jacob Gearhart, of Alsace Loraine, who came to America in 1741. He was the founder of the family in America.  His son, Jacob Gearhart ll, and of Kingwood Township, New Jersey served as captain in the American Revolution. He built a log cabin in Northumberland County, Penna in 1789.
