GREELY: Genealogy of the Greely-Greeley family 1905
By George Hiram Greeley
Detailed information on the ancestral lineage of the Greely-Greeley family is recorded in this book, through county and town records, letters, and materials gathered. This is the branch of emigrant ancestor Andrew Greele (1617-1697) and his wife Mary Moyse (d. 1703) who were early settlers of Salsbury, Massachusetts. His exact arrival date to America or in what vessel is not known, however the first time his name is recorded in town records is in 1640 pertaining a grant a land. He settled on a part that is now included in Seabrook, NH and built a tide mill for grinding corn, on Kanes River. Later, in 1650 he also built a sawmill. He took an active part in the business of the town.
