Information on the ancestral lineage of the Green family is recorded in this book, through county and town records, letters, and materials gathered. This is an account of William Green who was living in Long Island in 1744 when his sixth child was born. He died about 1774.  This book focuses on his youngest son, Ambrose Green, born in 1746 in Suffolk County, NY and married Gula Elma. He served in the army of the Revolution in the Fourth Albany Co  Regiment. Descendants are recorded from 1712-1901.
