History and genealogy of the Gurley family name. Broken into five parts; Part One contains an interesting account of the first ancestor Ingerlam de Gurley, who accompanied "William the Lion" from Normandy, France to Scotland in 1174. For this he was given by the King William a tract of land in Kincraig, in Fifeshire. The second part gives the history of William Gurley who was born in Iverness, Scotland in 1665, and came to America at age fourteen with the Reverend Solomon Stoddard, to Massachusetts. The remaining parts are shown in the picture descriptions.
