HANEY FAMILY A Brief Record of an American Clan 1930

  • 1200

By John Louis Haney

The genealogy of the Haney family is presented in this short book, starting with a look back to the bible times when Noah and his family spread out over the earth, showing who the Haneys came from. The early history in America is associated with the settlement of northern Bucks County, Pennsylvania, west of the Delaware River and to the north of Philadelphia. The first Haney on the records was Michael Heaney, who bought 150 acres in 1745. Later he purchased more. During this time many German, Scotch, Irish and Scotch-Irish settled this area. A record of this American clan was begun at the inauguration of the Haney Reunions in 1910, with a brief summary of the reunions through the twenty-first reunion in July, 1930.
