  • 1200

By Mrs. Harry I. Hiday

This short book gives the genealogy of the Hatch family, and the descendants of Philip Hatch of York Co., Maine for ten generations. The Hatches were of the earliest settlers of Scituate, who came to America from England before 1633. There were four main colonial families by the name Hatch. Philip Hatch was the son of John of Devonshire, England. Philip and his brother Charles were in the service of John Winter at Trelawney Plantation in 1633. From there he moved to York where he purchased land.
