This is the Hawes family, of English origin, with a description of the family history and a focus on Richard Hawes of Dorchester, Massachusetts. He was baptized in the Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire, England, in 1606, and was the son of Richard and Anne. In England his ancestors had been prominent for many centuries. He was an early settler in America in the 1600s. Shown are his ancestors and nine generations of his descendants to about 1932.
