HIESTER: Genealogy of the Hiester family 1903

This short book gives an account of very early records on the Hiester family, the origin of the name, and genealogy.  Their remote ancestors were of Silesian origin. From that country they went throughout Austria, Bavaria, Switzerland, Saxony, and countries bordering the Rhine. Three brothers came to America, John, Joseph and Daniel. They were settled in Pennsylvania, in Chester, Lancaster, Berks, Montgomery Counties,. They held important offices and served in war. One was governor of PA. Some charts are shown.
