A history of the descendants of John Hottel, Immigrant to America from Switzerland, with a genealogical family register of ten generations to 1929. His oldest son Charles Hottel was born in Europe about 1722 and came to America with his parents as a young boy. He grew up in Bucks County, Penna. and then moved to Virginia where he had a lot of land. Brief biographical sketches of members of the family include Civil War veterans, a judge, an  attorney, and we are given records of military ancestors in the War of 1812, Revolutionary War, with family records from court and church records, and from tombstones.
