By F. Phelps Leach

Thomas Hungerford of Hartford and New London, Connecticut and some of his descendants with their English Ancestors. Hungerford is an ancient English surname derived from a locality. The first of the name of prominence was Sir Thomas Hungerford, said to be the first speaker of the House of Commons in 1377. Farley Castle was his home in County Oxford, as it was in the family for six centuries or more, and his monument there shows that he died in 1398. The immigrant ancestor to America was baptized in England in 1602, and died in New London, Connecticut in 1663  (Softcover)

Love this publication

Although the book was first published in 1923, I have found that it is based on sound research and is well presented.
