This genealogy reference provides seven generations of the Hunsicker family, descendants of the progenitor to America, Valentine Hunsicker and his wife, Elizabeth Kolb. Elizabeth Kolb , child of Jacob Kolb, was born in 1716, married Valentine Hunsicker in 1735. Valentine Hunsicker was born in Canton Zurich, Switzerland, he was an orphan, and came to America in 1717 with his maternal grandfather Valentine Klemmer. Driven by religious persecution and persuaded by William Penn, the Hunsickers came to Pennsylvania, like many others from Holland, Germany, and Switzerland. Immigrants from there to PA were often Quakers or Mennonite and Amish.
