This book provides the Peter Jones and Richard Jones genealogies. Peter came to Virginia and was living in Charles City in 1657. He is referred to as Captain Peter Jones.  Captain Richard Jones was born between 1660-65, and died in 1747. He resided in Charles City, Prince George and Brunswick Counties. In 1692 a license issued in Henrico Court for marriage to Rachael Ragsdale at which time Peter Jones was his surety. You can read about his rank in the military, the lines of descent along with biographical sketches of prominent family members.
