KOLB: Genealogical history of the Kolb, Kulp or Culp family & its branches in America, with biographical Sketches of descendants. 1895
By Daniel Kolb Cassel
This genealogy reference provides the history of the Kolb, Kulp or Culp family and its branches in America, with biographical sketches of descendants from 1707 including Dielman Kolb in Germany, with portraits. Dielman Kolb was of Wolfsheim, in Baden, Germany, born in 1648. He married the fifth child, daughter of Peter Schumacher who came to Germantown, Penna in 1685.
Driven by religious persecution and persuaded by William Penn, these families came to Pennsylvania, like many others from Holland, Germany, and Switzerland. Immigrants from there to PA were often Quakers or Mennonite and Amish.
