John Lothropp (Lathrop) of Massachusetts. John Sr, His son was Robert Lowthroppe, his oldest son was Thomas, and his son was Rev. John Lothropp, born in England, died in Barnstable. The family is derived from the area in the East Riding of York, where there was a small parish, the ancient church Lowthorpe, and it's history is provided.
