LITTIG: Descendants of Peter Littig, Godfrey Rogge & others 1944

Peter Littig was born in Spechren, France, in August 1794. At an early age he became an enthusiastic admirer of Napoleon and resolved to follow the greatest General France ever produced. At the age of nineteen he entered the French Army and fought many battles. Later he moved to Paris and and engaged in the business of a marble cutter, becoming expert in perfection. In 1836, 33 years after the Louisiana Purchase from Napoleon, he emigrated to America with his family, being welcomed in New Orleans by French friends. He was married four times, twice a widower. He died at the age of 87 in Davenport, Iowa. These are the descendants of Peter Littig, Godfrey Rogge & others
