This 1902 book provides the history of the Longacre-Langaker-Longenecker family, Published for the Committee. It covers a variety of subjects, including some biographies, colonial immigrants - where they came from and where they settled, vocations, land purchase, services in wars, and the genealogy of the descendants with dates of births, marriages, and deaths. We see information pertaining to the family reunions that were held. The first being held August 20, 1896, at Ringing Rocks, near Pottstown, PA. It provides a glimpse into the lives of the ancestors and their interesting lives, their history, and rich heritage. They settled In Chester County, Montgomery Cty, Philadelphia Cty, Lancaster Cty, and other areas in Pennsylvania. They belonged to the colony of Penna Germans, both from well to do families, and deeply religious, with a background of being subjected to religious and social persecution in Europe. They came to America as a haven for peace and freedom.
