This book gives an account of the the history of MacMillan family with a Foreword by Lieut-General Sir Gordon H.A. MacMillan of MacMillan, Governor of Edinburgh Castle. It provides genealogies of the principal families, and tracing its roots back to a clergyman of the Culdee order of the Celtic church. It deals with the primary branches, as well as with the septs, and is both history and genealogy. Among the related names discussed are Baxter, Bell, Blue, Brown, MacMurachie, and Walker.
