Wilhelm Maike was born in about 1825 in Germany. He married Wilhelmina Futh (1829-1900) in 1852. They immigrated to America in 1856. They settled in Wabaunsee County, Kansas. They had one child, William Theodore, who lived to adulthood. William was born May 13, 1855 in Brandenburg, Germany. He married Adlena Czirr (1852-1940) in 1882 in Alma, Kansas. They had two sons.
