This short publication provides an account of Thomas Maskell of Simsbury, Connecticut, his son Thomas Maskell of Greenwich, New Jersey and some of their descendants to 1927. For the love of adventure and the hope of bettering their conditions, this immigrant, Thomas Maskell, lived and labored as one of the first inhabitants of this New England area. Thomas the son of Thomas, was young when his father died, and his mother had married again. He followed his uncle John Parsons, who had settled on Long Island. Here he met and married Clemons Scudder of East Hamptons. She was a descendant of Thomas Scudder of Salem, Mass.
