John Maynard of Sudbury, Massachusetts (now Wayland) and his descendants through Zechariah, his first child by his second marriage, son of John and Mary Axtell (Starr). John Maynard came to New England a widower, with one son, John Junior, age eight. In 1646 he married Mary Starr. In America he married Mary Axtell.
