Genealogy of Hugh McKay and his Lineal Descendants from 1788-1895, four generations. Hugh was the son of Donald McKay of Tain, Ross County, Scotland, an English Army Officer, who settled in Shelburne, Nova Scotia at the close of the American Revolution. Hugh's mother was Margaret. He was born in Nova Scotia in May, 1788 and died in Boston, Massachusetts in Dec., 1871.
