Beginning in Belfast: Descendants of Sampson Stuart McNeill. 

Sampson Stuart McNeill (1776-1851) was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland and immigrated to the U.S. about 1792, about age sixteen. He married Lavina Swain in 1806. She had been born in Virginia in 1792. He was thirty and she was fourteen. They migrated to Ohio from Virginia before 1819. Descendants lived in Ohio, Kentucky, Illinois, and elsewhere.
