Minor Meriwether

These are the generations in direct line from Nicholas Meriwether of Wales, who died in Dec. 1678. He had five sons, Nicholas, Francis, David, William, Thomas. It is probable the first three came to America, as there is only definite record of them. Written by Minor Meriwether (1827–1910), a Civil War engineer. It focuses on the descendants of colonial Meriwether and Minor families, covering Kentucky and Tennessee branches.  It contains numerous family stories, biographical notes, and photographs, offering a look into the family history, though sometimes less detailed in specific dates than later, similar works. Documents the marriage between the families, including information on the Minor branch connected to Heath Meriwether.
