Families of Haywood County, North Carolina Descendants of Hezekiah Isaiah and Hannah Mitchell from 1805 to 2002, showing seven generations of descendants. Hezekiah and Hannah were both born in South Carolina in 1805. They arrived in Haywood County, NC around 1830, and their children were born in NC except Christopher. Five of their sons served in the war and fought for the Confederacy during the War Between the States. All returned home safely.
