By Allen L. Moore

This short booklet covers the Moore Family History, 1599-1962. It begins in Andover, Massachusetts with the marriage of Abraham Moors and Priscilla Poor in December, 1687. She was born in 1667 the daughter of Daniel and Mary (farnum) Poor, early settlers. This book also touches on the witchcraft of Salem Village, specifically the case against Goodman Abbott. His case was unique in that he's the only one during this period to be brought before examination to be released. Nehemiah Abbott appears on the last will and testament of Abraham More I, as one of the witnesses. Nehemiah Abbott went to jail. Abraham Moore I and his wife Priscilla were living in Andover, MA at the time of the terrible witchcraft trials in Salem. They also were residents with their family in Andover at the time of the Indian raidd upon the village in 1698.
