This book contains the origin and genealogic history of the Scottish Giffen family and the descendants of Andrew Giffen I, of Big Spring, Pennsylvania. And Andrew Giffen II (b.1757) of western, Penna. Giffen railroad Station about twenty miles south of Glascow, Scotland, and was around what was originally known as the Griffen Estate, about 885 acres of land before it was divided in 1923. About one mile east of the Station is the site of where The Giffen Castle once stood. Two miles west of the Station is the Giffen House - a large, stone, thirty-five room house.
