These are the descendants of Daniel J. Gingerich, (1818-1877) and his wife Elizabeth Brenneman, (1822-1888). Both were born in Germany, and they were married in 1843. Daniel's parents were John and Fredereika (Schlabach) Gingerich.  They were Amish Mennonite and this branch has lived in Holmes County Ohio, Davies Co, Indiana, and parts of Illinois and Kalona, Iowa. Daniel J. and Elizabeth Gingerich were buried in Kalona, Iowa. A list of ministers, bishops and deacons appears as well as Information on several related family names are given, such as Hershberger, Troyer, Kauffman, Stutzman, Swartzendruber and more.
