In the earliest records it is shown Godhewen, Goodhugh, Godhewyn, and others. William Goodhue came from England to America in 1635 or 1636 and settled in Ipswich, Massachusetts. Before coming to America he married Margery Watson of Kent. She was the mother of his children. She died in 1668 in Ipswich. William died in 1699 or 1700. Typescript
