This short booklet on the genealogy and history of the David Goodykoontz family is extracted from the book GRAYSON COUNTY PIONEER SETTLERS, By Benjamin Floyd Nuckolls and the written manual published in 1908 by Jasper Goodykoontz. The name was formerly spelled Gutekunst, and is of German origin. David and his brother emigrated from Wurtemburg, Germany, where they were born, to America and settled in the area of Chambersburg, Penna. David then moved on to Virginia where he was buried. David was born in 1740 and died about 1815. He was married to Margaret and they had eight (perhaps nine) children. Softcover.
