By F. & W. S. Cooley
This booklet gives an account of the William Green family extracted from the book GENEALOGY OF EARLY SETTLERS IN TRENTON and EWING, "Old Hunterdon County", New Jersey written by Cooley in 1883. William Green left England at the age of twenty and landed at the port of Philadelphia and from there went to New York. In time he married Joanna Reeder. They went to Ewing Twp about 1700 and purchased 345 acres, on it erected the first brick house in the township. He was appointed one of the first judges of Hunterdon County and as seen from mention of his name in public records was a prominent and useful citizen. He died in 1722. Softcover.
