Extracted from Genealogies of the Glassell Family of Scotland and Virginia... also of the Families of Ball, Brown, Bryan, Conway, Daniel, Ewell, Holladay, Lewis, Littlepages, Moncure, Peyton, Robinson, Scott, Taylor, Wallace and others, of Virginia and Maryland. The earliest land grants to the name in Virginia were made in the 18th century. Jonah Holliday received 93 acres in Norfolk County, April 28, 1711. Several other Holiday, Holliday, Holladay, Holloday ( with various spellings ) are also seen around that time. Softcover
