This short book contains the family records and genealogy of the Clark Jillson family. The name Gillson, now Jillson, was first known in France and dates back to early times. The first to come to New England was William Gillson, from County Kent, England in 1631. He was a founder of the church at Scituate, he built the first windmill in the colony for grinding corn. He died in 1639, leaving a wife, and no children. We see James Gillson, his wife and child, in Rehoboth, Mass in 1667. They escaped death when their home was burned by Indians in 1676. Descendants are recorded to 1879. Softcover.
