This short booklet on the Lewis Family is taken from the 1907 book, SOME PROMINENT VIRGINIA FAMILIES By Louise P. du Bellet (1907) It gives some of the Lewis family history and descendants of three brothers, William, Samuel and John, originally French Huguenots, who left France after the revocation of the Edict of Nantes, 1685. About the middle of the seventeenth century four brothers of the Lewis family left Wales. Descendants of these are among those who settled in Virginia and other places in America. Softcover.
