This short booklet provides a record of the Magruder family, (also MacGregor) of Scotland. The emigrant to Maryland was believed to be Alexander Magruder perhaps captured in battle and sent to America as a prisoner. He was married three times.   This is Extracted from Zimmerman, Waters and Allied Families by Dorothy Edmonstone Zimmerman. She was born in 1846 and died in 1917. She married Robert Wright Allen in 1870. The full book is a genealogy covering the immigrant Christopher Zimmerman (emigrated 1717) and related families, including the Magruders, Bealls, Edmonstones, and Waters families.
